My oil painting, “Cow Hay” was juried into the Blue Sage Center for the Arts show “Vistas”. The show runs from Aug 14- Sept 21. Blue Sage’s Gallery Hours: Tues-Fri 10a-5p, Sat 10a-2p.
There is an opening on Aug 28th as well.
I’m glad to have been accepted in this show.
This painting is a piece done in the studio from a plein air sketch I did earlier. My neighbor, Tommy S, has his hay ranch just down the road from me. I love the way the light plays on the pile of hay he keeps for sale to cattle. Its got some weeds in it and he has high standards so he doesn’t keep it with the horse hay. Good for me as I get to paint the lovely texture of the bales and not the tarps on the rest. But maybe that would be for the next painting…?
